「花見」を英語で説明しよう
「花見」は英語でhaving a picnic under the cherry blossom treesまたはcherry blossoms viewingと言うことができます。
「花見」を英語で説明する際に使える表現を紹介します。
The activity of enjoying the beautiful sight of the cherry blossoms when they are in full bloom is called hanami which literally means ‘to see the flowers’.
満開の桜の美しい景色を楽しむことを「花見」と呼びます。

This matsuri is also known as the Doll Festival, as families with daughters display beautiful dolls in their homes around early spring.
この祭りは別名「Doll Festival」とも呼ばれ、春先になると、娘のいる家庭では美しい人形が家に飾られます。
People eat a traditional dish called ‘chirashi sushi’, which is seafood and other ingredients on top of rice, and in some shrines they hold events where Hinamatsuri dolls are displayed.
ごはんの上に海鮮や具材を乗せた「ちらし寿司」という伝統料理を食べたり、神社によっては雛人形を飾るイベントも行われます。
